Hello! It’s lovely to meet you.

Successful therapy begins with building a trusting relationship with your therapist. Here’s a little bit more about me to help you decide if I might be a good fit for the work you hope to do.

Education and Training

PhD in Counseling Psychology | Fordham University

MSEd in Counseling Psychology | Fordham University

BA in Psychology | Colgate University

I began my psychotherapy training in 2016, building expertise with a variety of mental health concerns in college counseling, community mental health, and veteran-specific counseling settings.

I am a life-long learner and am committed to continuing education. I have completed additional trainings including the Emotionally-Focused Therapy for Couples Externship.

My Approach to Therapy

My therapy practice is rooted in building a trusting and affirming relationship with my clients. I work to foster a warm and open environment in which they feel valued, accepted, and understood. I use a culturally informed and collaborative approach to help my clients deepen their understanding of themselves, their values, and their strengths.

I identify as an integrative therapist, meaning that I draw on ideas, tools, and interventions from many therapeutic approaches to meet your specific needs. Some of the modalities that inform the work I do include:

  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)

  • Psychodynamic therapy

  • Emotionally-focused therapy for couples (EFT)

  • Positive psychology

Many of my clients begin working with me at a point of transition or change in their lives. They may be experiencing feelings of uncertainty, endless worry, or a lack of control. They may be stuck in patterns that are causing them to feel helpless, regretful, or critical of themself. I know that everyone’s life story is unique to them, and I will actively seek to understand your personal lived experience. Through our work together, we will help you to feel more grounded in yourself and your environment, reconnect you to your values, and identify actions that will bring you closer to the life you want to live.

Outside the Therapy Space

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Minneapolis. In 2010, I moved to the East Coast and spent 11 years living in New York and Massachusetts. While I desperately miss New York City bagels, I am happy to be back in the Midwest. Outside of my therapy practice, I enjoy going for walks outside, traveling with family and friends, baking, gardening, and watching home renovation shows.
